We’re ever so pleased to announce a new social media integration upgrade to all Mail Dog accounts … Facebook ‘Likes’! You know, those cute little ‘Like’ buttons you see popping up on web pages, blogs and various news sources. Well now, you can add them to your email newsletters, announcements, promotions, sales… pretty much any email marketing piece sent from your Mail Dog account.

Why would you do that you ask?
Well the ‘Like’ button lets a user (your subscriber) share your content (your email) with their friends on Facebook telling the world that they like it. When someone clicks the ‘Like’ button on your email, a post appears in the user’s feed with a link back to your email newsletter.

How it Works
The Facebook ‘Like’ tool will appear in your messages utilities menu. Simply choose the ‘Like’ tool and click ‘Go’. Copy the code given in the pop-up window and paste this code into a text box inside the Wizard (or use in your html code if not using a template). Then just save a preview…voila!  You can add the ‘Like’ buttons to as many features or articles as you want in your email newsletters, however they are message specific, not article specific.

Mail Dog also offers Social Media Share Tools which allows your subscribers to share your email with their social network.  Mail Dog clients can add referral tags like Stumble Upon, Linked In, Twitter, Facebook and of course Send to a Friend to any email message.  Social Media Share icons can be found the Utilities drop-down menu at the bottom of your Messages page.
